He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

If you hold the door for someone, do they thank you, ignore you, or, hopefully not, are actually mean to you? How would feel in each case?
Imagine how God feels when He holds open the door to countless blessings and we react in those ways. The thing is, if you tell God to get lost enough, He’ll respect your free will and do just that. And who would like to see that door of blessings close?
What does it cost us to keep it open? Play well with others, follow His rules, and give humble thanks. How hard can that be?
Micah 6:8 is one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible. It’s so wonderful that God tells us what He expects, even if the Ten Commandments are impossible to keep. He deals with us with mercy and grace. The creator of the universe didn’t simply wind up the earth and walk away. God is actively involved with mankind. Blessings M
It’s so beautifully simple, isn’t it?
