But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.    Isaiah 40:31

I like to refer to the Old Testament prophets as Prophets of Babylon, because their ministries were warning of impending doom unless Israel repented, foretelling, of the Babylonian Captivity, prophecies to get them through the Babylonian Captivity, and then rebuilding after their return.

Let’s face it, the Babylonian Captivity is second only to The Exodus as pivotal, defining period in Israel’s history!  Today’s verse from Isaiah touches the theme of all the prophets; yeah, right now everything loos hopeless, but just wait for it.  Wait.  For.  It.  God’s healing comes in due time, and it is exceptional!

What with the deterioration of our country’s morals and fall from God, it would seem Babylon has come to us!  Things look none too promising.  Just wait on God.  Put your focus on Him, not the troubles.  Wait for it!
