Quote for 12/31/2016

Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 KJV

I don’t normally care to comment on a Quote of the Day, but this being New Year’s Eve, I want to be sure this isn’t glossed over.

This verse is the prophecy Isaiah was given concerning Israel’s return from the Babylonian captivity.  Without them deserving it, God will do a new thing to bring them back from destruction.

That was prophetic for Israel, and it is a promise for us.  Are you broken inside?  Are you lonely?  Are you without hope?  God wants to do a new thing for you, with you!  God asks only that you let Him into your life to do a new thing; to bring peace to your soul, to have you as His honored guest in heaven forever.

Pray to Him now, if you are not under His wings.  Ask Him for a new thing in your life; not an easy life, but an easy and refreshed soul!

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.    Romans 10:9

Once His, your are His forever.  Only you can forsake Him.  He will never forsake YOU!
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.    Romans 8:39
May God be with you and in you in the coming year and forever!!

  1. And with you, Amen! Beautiful post for New Year’s Eve. At this very moment we are having to leave virtually every material posession behind and starting over. Completely God orchestrated & initiated. Now the healing begins! But one must remember as you have noted…the GOOD stuff is rarely comfortable. But it gives LIFE to our dead/sick parts. And that is what we need coming into this new year. God is GOOD!

    • Erin, I am grieved you are going through this trial. My life pales in comparison, but I’ve been bankrupt and lost almost all. I have some small shadow of what you are going through. You remain in my prayers, as always!

      • Thank you. We have faced similiar situations before. We gave everything away and moved on as asked by God. I think the main difference this time around (another opportunity for us to grow in Him)…is that mold has contaminated everything that we didn’t give away (only and all our keepsakes, sentimental items and heirlooms). But…God will honor our obedience! Vengence is HIS not ours. And He will repay everything Satan has stolen from us…in HIS perfect way and in HIS perfect timing. Teddy & I are a bit out of it (mixture of jet lag/culture shock/deep grief feeling rolled all into one). But HIS mercies are new every morning. And His eye is ALWAYS on us!

  2. Beautiful verse for renewing our minds and spirits! And I am thankful for your words. They reassure us of the light, strength and consistency of God (we may forsake him but He’ll never forsake us). Thank you, Jeffrey.

Your ideas are important too!
