“Japan; giving us weird sh!+ since the ‘60’s!” Caption on a meme of a Japanese game show I saw a couple years ago.
A few years ago I saw an intriguing display at an electronics store. It was the latest gaming tech; a system that would read your movements, putting you “into” the game itself. Your body becomes the controller. The system would also store you in its memory. You wouldn’t have to log in again, It would recognize you from the way you move, and it would then bring up your avatar.
My “that’s cool” reaction lasted maybe a second. My first real thought was how this could be used in airports and elsewhere to scan for specific people. Maybe it already is. We have face-recognition programs. Combine that with someone’s “signature” movements, and you could identify someone in a crowd pretty quickly. Big Brother continues to grow.
When I first learned that phones could be locked and unlocked with your fingerprint, the same thought occurred again. Combine that with the current dispute about whether the US government has the right to hack into someone’s private phone or not, and you once again see personal information becoming less and less private. What an easy way to build a fingerprint database of the general population!
Information equals power and control.
Today we have Japan using fingerprints as an ID. They are doing a test run involving only foreign tourists. They figured that’s the place to start, as there are so many legal requirements to travel in a foreign country, whether to do with an exclusion for paying taxes on retail or ID’s when checking into a hotel, foreign tourists must produce added bits of information when coming, going, buying, staying.
“The government hopes to increase the number of foreign tourists by using the system to prevent crime and relieve users from the necessity of carrying cash or credit cards. It aims to realize the system by the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
So you register your data under your fingerprint, and move about the country just giving everyone your finger…so to speak.
Leave it to Japan to do something that’s getting ahead of the curve when it comes to technology, right? Between life-like robots, including development of sex-bots, the stuff out of Japan has gone from amusing weird to just plain weird. And a bit scary.
Right now databases exist for fingerprints collected from criminals and folks who need to be fingerprinted for a job or gun license. That leaves a lot of people out of the system. The majority, in fact. But if you can make a case for getting fingerprinted that’s fun, convenient, and sophisticated, people will buy it. This project in Japan is the perfect setup. You have a country known for always doing the next tech thing, a global event in their country in just a few years, and millions of people getting fingerprinted. That’s a pretty good start on global control of the population.
In a previous post I wrote about microchips that can be inserted just under the skin for the same purpose. There is also the development of circuits that can literally be tattooed onto your skin for ID, device control, etc. Makers of driverless cars are working to integrate that tech into their cars, so you use a chip, fingerprint, tattoo, whatever to “drive” your car.
Why do I care and why am I writing about this for my Christian blog site? Matthew 24, the Olivet Discourse is Jesus’ description of the end times that we are to watch for. He told us to watch and be ready. So, is the sort of ID tech described above The Mark of the Beast? It certainly sounds like it:
“ He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or[f] the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelations 13:16-17
Am I 100% positive this is what will become the Mark of the Beast? No, but its walking and quacking seem close. So I watch.
Too many Christians I know are avid bible-readers, but mostly of the New Testament. Even then, their overall familiarity is confined to the familiar bible stories. As for end times, they are as I was; spending time on it won’t change it. I’ll just hang out and let it happen. I never used to watch.
How do I watch? Read the Bible like a book, cover to cover, to get the feel of the arc of history it gives us. Learn the narrative of the history it gives us and the prophecies that often times refer to history as a model of what to watch for.
“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:37
Fallen angels were mating with women, producing the giants of old. There was satanic input to the human gene pool, not to mention worship of false gods, burning children alive as sacrifices, and overall sexual deviancy. Only Noah remained untainted by all of it. That’s why I have a number of posts about giants and aliens and technology.

Watch, because “…false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.” Matthew 24:24-25
