“There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.” Genesis 6:4
I posted a three part series on giants in the Bible last year. Giants existed before the Flood, and were made again after it by fallen angels. There is overwhelming evidence of them in the archeological record, despite the best efforts of the Smithsonian and National Geographic to suppress this part of our history. You can see the references and links to my source articles in my three part series, links below:
Not only have thousands of giant skeletons been found in North America alone, they are part of the fossil record. Gigantopithecus has been explained as an anomaly (?) in the human evolutionary tree. I guess they didn’t know what else to do with it at the time. He is best explained with the biblical record, those thousands of skeletons found in huge burial mounds west of the Mississippi, American Indian oral history of a giant race they struggled with, and even fossilized footprints. See fossil footprint images at this link: https://www.google.com/search?q=giant+human+footprints&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwihlJzLj4nKAhVBxGMKHVFgB3sQsAQIHw&biw=1920&bih=989#imgrc=_
In fact, take a look at images of Gigantopithecus: https://www.google.com/search?q=giant+human+footprints&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwihlJzLj4nKAhVBxGMKHVFgB3sQsAQIHw&biw=1920&bih=989#tbm=isch&q=gigantopithecus
These are artists renditions of what he may have looked like based on the skeleton. They look suspiciously like the best descriptions, pictures, and renderings of bigfoot. How else do we explain the frequent sightings of bigfoot all around the world? It must be a real creature. If so, where did it come from? At this point in time, my vote is with the descendants of the Nephilim and their ilk. It’s the one theory that fits all the facts. So far, anyway.
Forgive me, but I suddenly have an urge to quote Mr. Spock: “When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” Not a perfect quote for this instance, but when a theory meets the requirements of facts at hand, dismissing it out of hand as too fantastical is not a logical reaction.
Another Spock-ism, if I may: “In critical moments, men sometimes see exactly what they wish to see.” I refer to the dogmatic clinging to evolution despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. I’ll quote from my previous Giants series:
Dr. Lyall Watson is no Christian, but he was “…a South African botanist, zoologist, biologist, anthropologist, ethologist, and author of many new age books, among the most popular of which is the best seller Supernature. Lyall Watson tried to make sense of natural and supernatural phenomena in biological terms.” Source, Wikipedia. Here is his own comment regarding the fossil record: “The fossils that decorate our family tree are so scarce that there are still more scientists than specimens. The remarkable fact is that all of the physical evidence we have for human evolution can still be placed, with room to spare, inside a single coffin!”
You have to admire his candidness.
Since that series, I’ve learned more about giants, the Nephilim. For one thing, the Bible records them as generally have six fingers and toes on each hand and foot. This is a frequent characteristic of giant skeletons found here in North America as in other parts of the world. That’s a very immediate, obvious connection to biblical history. I had always been told that a greeting of holding up your right hand was to show you had no weapons. Others now think it’s to show you had only five fingers. Nephilim weren’t always giants.
The existence of these giants, the product of fallen angels and women, fills in a lot of gaps in our history and myths. The first thing that I realized – and believe me, this is embarrassing – is how pertinent this is to much of the Old Testament slaughter that modern folks rail against. “If God is so loving, why did He have the Israelites kill off all of these people of Canaan?”
You might recall that spies were sent into Canaan to scope out the opposition. When they returned, their report was recorded in Numbers 13:33: “There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
There were giants in Canaan! I knew this story from childhood, but I never made the connection. No one ever talked about it. By the time we got to David and Goliath, that fact was forgotten. We were always taught that Goliath must have been some sort of anomaly, but he was not! I described King Og in my earlier series, but there were more.
There were brothers of Goliath, who sought vengeance on David for killing him. If you just read the Old Testament straight through, you’ll see all of the references to giants as the Israelites worked their way through Canaan.
Then remember that the Israelites were God’s chosen people, through whom Jesus would come. They were a pure genetic line, and God wanted that preserved to produce Jesus at the right time. The Canaanites were of the same make up as the original Nephilim that provoked God into the Flood. Afterward, God swore He would never cause such a disaster again. The Israelites then became His scourge against them, both to punish their wickedness and to keep the Israelites pure from these genetic half-breeds.
If people want to know why God was so mean to those poor Canaanites, this is why. They practiced the same evil that provoked God into causing The Flood. After forswearing that action for eternity, God had the Israelites slaughter them as they possessed the land promised to them.
